At its core, my support is steady, calm, and centered on you.

It can look like:

• Listening deeply to your hopes, fears, and preferences

• Helping you feel informed and confident in your choices—without pressure

• Offering reassurance, grounding presence, and encouragement when things feel overwhelming

• Holding space for emotions, questions, and unexpected twists

• Supporting your partner so they can support you

• Quietly anticipating needs and responding with care

Support can be both emotional and hands-on. I offer comfort measures and massage during pregnancy, throughout labor, and in the postpartum period to help release tension and support your body.

I also help guide you through next steps as labor unfolds—offering options for pain support and labor progression in a way that feels calm and manageable. This may include:

• Positional changes and movement to encourage comfort and progress

• Pain deferral tools and grounding techniques

• Breathwork and relaxation guidance

• Aromatherapy

• Use of the shower or bath when available

During birth or postpartum, support may be active and hands-on, or quietly present—offering reassurance and guidance in the moments you need it most. During photography sessions, support looks like helping you feel relaxed, seen, and safe, so your images reflect real connection rather than forced poses.

Above all, support means you’re not doing this alone. I meet you where you are, walk alongside you, and adjust as your needs change—every step of the way.

When I support a birth as both a doula and photographer, your care always comes first.

I’m experienced in moving seamlessly between hands-on support and quiet documentation. I know when to step in—to offer comfort, guidance, massage, positioning, or reassurance—and when to step back to capture meaningful moments without disrupting the flow of your birth.

Photography is woven gently into the experience. I document naturally during moments when hands-on support isn’t needed, or when another support person or medical staff is actively assisting. When you need me physically present, the camera comes down.

Because I’m trained in both roles, I’m able to anticipate what’s coming next—whether that’s a transition in labor, a need for comfort measures, or a moment worth preserving. This allows me to support you without dividing my attention or creating distraction.

If at any point you feel you need more hands-on support than photography allows, we talk about that ahead of time and adjust accordingly. Clear communication and your comfort guide every decision.

In short, you don’t have to choose between being supported and having your story documented—you can have both, thoughtfully and intentionally.

A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support, but is not a medical provider.

This means:

• I do not perform clinical or medical tasks

• I do not provide medical diagnoses, medical advice, or treatment

• I do not replace your doctor, midwife, or nursing staff

• I do not make decisions for you or speak on your behalf without your consent

My role is to help you understand your options, ask informed questions, and feel supported as you make decisions in partnership with your medical care team.

I work alongside your providers—not instead of them—supporting communication, comfort, and confidence while respecting the scope of medical practice at all times.

If a situation arises that requires medical assessment or intervention, your healthcare provider is always the appropriate person to guide care. My role in those moments is to help you stay grounded, supported, and informed.

Clear boundaries are part of ethical, effective doula care—and they help ensure that everyone involved is working together for your safety and well-being.

The remaining balance can then be paid in flexible payments at your own pace, as long as the full balance is paid by your due date.

Many families choose to make smaller payments over time, while others prefer fewer larger payments—either option is perfectly fine. I’m happy to work with you to make the process feel manageable and stress-free.

Clear payment plans allow me to hold space for your birth and ensure availability, while giving you flexibility along the way.

No—absolutely not. A doula does not replace your partner. In fact, supporting your partner is an important part of my role.

Your partner knows you best and plays a unique, irreplaceable role in your birth experience. My job is to support both of you—offering guidance, reassurance, and practical tools so your partner can feel confident and involved, not overwhelmed or pushed aside.

I help partners understand what’s happening, suggest ways they can provide comfort, and step in when they need a break or extra support. This allows your partner to stay present, connected, and rested throughout labor.

Think of a doula as an extra layer of support, not a substitute—someone who helps your partner show up in the way they want to, while making sure you’re never left without care.

Birth is a team effort, and everyone has an important role.

Because birth and early parenthood are life-changing—and no one should have to navigate them feeling unsure, unheard, or alone.

Absolutely. Doulas support all types of births.

If you choose to have an epidural, I can still offer emotional support, guidance, and comfort throughout labor—helping with positioning, relaxation, communication with your care team, and supporting your partner while you rest.

If a C-section becomes part of your birth story, my role shifts to meeting your needs in that moment. While not all hospitals allow doulas in the operating room, some do. Hospital policies vary, and I always respect those guidelines.

If I’m not permitted in the OR, I continue supporting you and your partner before and after surgery—helping you prepare, offering reassurance, and supporting bonding and recovery once you’re reunited with your baby.

No matter how your baby arrives, my goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and cared for throughout the experience—not just during labor itself.
