For the past 25 years, I’ve dedicated my career to social work—work that has allowed me to walk alongside people in some of life’s most challenging moments. While deeply rewarding, it has also been a role that weighs heavily on the heart. Along the way, I found myself longing for a creative outlet—something that would bring both joy and balance.

Photography became that space for me. From the time I was a child, I treasured flipping through my mother’s and grandmother’s photo albums, captivated by the power of photographs to preserve love, connection, and memory. When I became a mom, I picked up a camera and began capturing my own family’s story. What started as a simple hobby soon grew into a 20-year journey of photographing babies, mothers, and families—documenting not only fleeting milestones but also the beauty of growth across generations.

Through both social work and photography, I discovered my true passion: supporting families. Years ago, after photographing a birth, I felt an undeniable pull toward birth work. I saw firsthand how much support mothers and families need during the birthing process. At the time, I wasn’t able to pursue doula training, but the calling never left me. Today, I am at a place in my life where I can fully embrace it.

Becoming a doula feels like coming home. It brings together my decades of experience as a nurturer, a listener, a supporter, and a storyteller. Now, I not only have the privilege of photographing families as they grow, but also of standing beside them in the sacred space of birth—helping them feel seen, supported, and empowered as they welcome new life.

This is my calling, and I am honored to walk with families through these most meaningful moments.
