St. Louis Family Photography: A Full-Circle Fall Session at Route 66 State Park

Once upon a time, I dreamed of a big family — a full house, lots of kids, and endless love. Life doesn’t always unfold exactly as we imagine, but I am deeply blessed with my three beautiful children. And maybe that’s one of the reasons I remain so enamored with large families and the love that fills them.

This St. Louis family holds a very special place in my heart.

I photographed their oldest baby as a newborn, years ago. Life took them away for a while, but when they returned to St. Louis, they came back to me. Since then, I’ve had the honor of photographing them multiple times — including their youngest as a newborn and now celebrating his first birthday.

There is something incredibly meaningful about seeing a family through the full spectrum of life. From tiny newborn days to curious toddlers and growing siblings, watching this family evolve has been such a gift.

Their home — and now their sessions — are filled with love. The kids adore one another, help each other, and truly enjoy being together. The kind of sibling bond you hope for but can’t force. And let’s talk about those freckles — absolutely amazing and full of personality.
