ST. LOUIS FRESH 48 PHOTOGRAPHY
Those sleepy snuggles. Tiny hospital bracelets. The way you can't stop staring at the little person you just met. Fresh 48 photography preserves the quiet, beautiful beginning of your family's newest chapter.
The first hours you'll never get back.
Before you know it, this will all feel like a dream.
Those first hours with your baby exist in their own little world. You're learning their face, counting tiny fingers and toes, soaking in sleepy snuggles and trying to remember every single detail.
A Fresh 48 session quietly documents this beginning without turning it into a production. No elaborate posing. No perfect outfits required. Just your family together—exactly as you are in those first beautiful hours.
The hospital bassinet. The tiny bracelet around their wrist. Their wrinkled toes. The way they fit against your chest. The look on your partner's face. Maybe even the moment a big brother or sister meets them for the first time.
These are the details that disappear far too quickly.

THE FIRST DAYS
FRESH 48 PHOTOGRAPHY
A little glimpse into your baby's first 48 hours.
A Fresh 48 session takes place during the first day or two after your baby arrives—usually right in your hospital room. It's a relaxed way to document those brand-new moments without photographing labor or delivery.
THE TINY DETAILS
Hospital bracelets, wrinkled toes, wispy hair, tiny fingers and all the details that change almost overnight.
THE CONNECTION
Quiet snuggles, feeding, skin-to-skin and the way you can't seem to stop looking at your new baby.
THE FIRST HELLOS
Partners meeting baby, siblings visiting, grandparents stopping by—or simply your new little family soaking it all in.
No elaborate setup. No posing pressure. Just your family and your brand-new baby.
YOUR FRESH 48 SESSION
No pressure. No perfect baby required.
Your hospital room doesnt’t need to be tidy. Your baby doesn’t need to be asleep. And you definitely don’t need to look like you didn’t just have a baby.
I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly I’ll let your family settle in together while I document what is already happening.
We’ll make room for feeding, diaper changes, nurses coming in, a baby who wants to be held, siblings who need a minute and all the wonderfully unpredictable parts of those first hours.
Because this isn’t about creating a perfect newborn session,.
It’s about remembering what it felt like when your baby was brand new.

FRESH 48 FAQ
A few things you might be wondering.
-
Fresh 48 sessions take place during the first day or two after your baby is born, usually while you're still at the hospital or birth location. We'll stay in touch around your due date and after baby arrives to coordinate the best time.
-
Most Fresh 48 sessions take about 30–45 minutes. If we're documenting a sibling meeting baby for the first time, we may allow a little extra time so there’s no need to rush those reactions.
-
Not at all. Awake, sleepy, hungry, snuggly—it’s all part of those first hours. This is a baby-led session, and we'll simply follow your baby's cues.
-
No elaborate outfits or props are necessary. Fresh 48 sessions are meant to feel natural and focus on your new baby and your family together. Simple, comfortable clothing works beautifully.
-
Absolutely. Some of my favorite Fresh 48 photographs are the first moments an older brother or sister meets the new baby. -
What if my hospital room isn't picture-perfect?
It doesn't need to be! I'll work with the available light and space and gently move things when necessary. Your photographs are about your family—not whether there was a water cup on the bedside table.
READY TO REMEMBER THESE FIRST HOURS?
The hospital bracelets will come off. The tiny wrinkles will disappear. And before you know it, those first sleepy hours will feel like a blur.
